CompactHouse was created in 2002 by Architect Göran Borell. The business strategy is to develop, market and sell attractive and functional small houses in sizes between 10 and 30 sqm. Many feel there is a gap in the marketplace for such products as the majority of products offered in this segment are very simple constructions. The products from CompactHouse are constructed and built in accordance with the same standards as larger houses and villas where the demands are much higher on design solutions, isolation, outer wall covering, windows and doors. The first product on the market was KOMPAKTHUSET 10 which was launched in 2003. This house is completely pre-built and delivered as one 'package' to the lot. It has gained significant media interest for its elegant and roomy design. If you want to build the house yourself, there is now KOMPAKTSTUGAN 10 which is delivered in parts. In 2004, two larger houses were launched to address the need for more space and optimum living solutions; KOMPAKTVILLAN 22 and  KOMPAKTVILLAN 30.
